The Strategic Counsel

The Strategic Counsel is responsible for administering the survey and reporting the results back to GlobeCampus. It is a complex and elaborate process that involves months of preparation, dozens of institutions to contact and over 40,000 surveys to review in order to compile the results. The Strategic Counsel has been leading this process since the inception of the report in 2002.

The Strategic Counsel is a dedicated team of market-research professionals. We provide research, information and informed advice to our clients, who usually come to us with specific problems or challenges. Our passion is to turn information into strategic plans that get dynamic results.

GlobeCampus relies on the expertise and guidance of the EPI for multiple aspects of the educational sector, in particular Canada’s loans, bursaries and scholarships. EPI also provided crucial understanding as well as data organization and selection for the Campus Navigator profiles. The Educational Policy Institute offered subject-matter expertise and access to best-in-class data sources for its flagship interactive online tools.

The Educational Policy Institute is an international non-partisan organization dedicated to the study of issues related to the expansion of quality educational opportunities. It has offices in Toronto, Virginia Beach and Melbourne.

Student Awards is GlobeCampus’ partner on its special link dedicated to scholarships, grants and awards. Its parent company has also been involved with our student survey for several years through access to its vast database of students.

Studentawards.com is a free scholarship search service devoted to helping high school seniors, university and college students find information on scholarships, bursaries, grants and other forms of financial assistance.

UTours

UTours

UTours provides the campus tour video vignettes displayed on the institution profile of many of the major campuses across Canada. As well, UTours provides all of the video clips on “What You Need To Know Before You Go” and clips from their recently released “What Parents Need To Know Before Their Children Go”.

UTours is the result of many professors, undergrad students, and corporate sponsors who recognized an information gap in the selection process and decided to help do something about it. The company has created dynamic new website that features a series of online tools and videos to help students and parents through the process of selecting a post secondary institution.

AIESEC Canada

AIESEC Canada

AIESEC Canada is providing access to Canadian students interning in different parts of the world. This blog follows two Canadian students in their challenging and exciting work in the developing world under its global internships programs and can be found in the blogs sections under “Global Citizens”.

College Week Live

The annual GlobeCampus eFair is a must for high school students who are planning to pursue a post-secondary education in Canada. The eFair will run much like a traditional event, but in a virtual setting. Students will be able to browse Canada’s top universities and colleges, learn about their undergraduate programs, download information, view videos and connect with their peers to compare notes. Canadian universities and colleges also can reach students south of the border thanks to The Globe and Mail’s collaboration with CollegeWeekLive, the world's largest virtual post-secondary online exposition.

CollegeWeek Live is the world's biggest college fair and it meets entirely online. With hundreds of colleges and universities exhibiting and more than 150,000 registrants, the event revolutionizes college admissions, making the process easier and more cost-effective by bringing students, parents, counselors and colleges together online, transcending time and distance. CollegeWeekLive is free service for students and parents.

Faze Magazine helps GlobeCampus with the distribution of the Canadian University Report magazine to thousands of graduating secondary school children across Canada.

Faze Magazine is an exciting magazine published for Canadian teenagers. Written for both guys and girls, Faze is a refreshing break from the standard dumbed-down teen magazines that only serve up regurgitated American pop culture and prom diet tips. Magazine is one of Canada's largest circulation magazines, with the annual Back-to-School Issue hitting 500,000 copies. It is the largest magazine for youth in the country.

OurKids and GlobeCampus’ collaborate in helping independent and private secondary students in Canada choose a university through the Canadian University Report. The Globe and Mail is also distributing both education-related magazines through its newspaper.

Our Kids Publications Ltd. (OKP) is the brainchild of award-winning Toronto Star photographer Andrew Stawicki. It publishes “Our Kids Go To Camp”, an annual magazine devoted to helping parents find the right camp for their children, and “Our Kids Go To School”, an annual magazine devoted to helping parents find the best education for their children. It also organizes an annual “Our Kids Private Education School Fair” in Toronto, Halton-Peel, Montreal and Vancouver every fall.

TalentEgg is providing GlobeCampus with timely information for new or recent grads. Its staff’s weekly advice offers great insights on the challenges ahead for recent grads and a forum to connect with others. It currently hosts the GlobeCampus blog "From Class to Career".

Talent Egg is a career hub for Canadian students and new grads looking for career-starting opportunities with top employers. It's kind of like a campus career fair, but on a much larger scale. Being online, TalentEgg is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from coast to coast.
